Emily 03:21
It's a sad day To waste away And a sad thought I ponder Figurines dancing In the rain Little fists of wonder And Emily sits and Taps her toes To the sound of her heart breaking But somehow She's always been There for me Emily says she loves me But no the way you think And somehow We're running on the brink Of destruction And I hold her smithereens In the palm of my grasp Gotta put them back together It doesn't feel much Like a Monday Doesn't feel like afternoon Doesn't mean I wanna be here Doesn't mean I wanna go And I hope it's still Raining outside It's always so cold in here Yeah it's always So Cold So Quiet, So Weird, So Queer Emily says she loves me But no the way you think And somehow We're running on the brink Of destruction And I hold her smithereens In the palm of my grasp Gotta put them back together

I guess I'm hung from you again I don't know how and I'm not sure Quite when It all happened And it seems that we both have changed You come around but you're not the same As I remember I remember you I've been thinkin I've been thinkin Thinkin About you I get the phone from miles away 2 minute warning i know i cant sate Forever But I'll wait forever She's tall as earth with her eyes wide open I got the girl next door on the phone And shes Coming home But it's lonely in October And July is around the corner And everything I've ever loved Has just walked through my door I've been thinkin I've been thinkin Thinkin About you Only you

Break 03:32
Break Don't touch me Cause I'm awake You shouldn't be here any more You're a fake You never loved me My mistake I should have left you years a go When you You were talking from the corners of your mouth And you Never whisper "never shout" Stay Cause I'm leaving Any way I'm still standing by the door Just fade away Cause it'd just be better And you know that it's late And we've been through this before When you You were talking from the corners of your mouth And you Never whisper "never shout" Now your running out of straws So your grabbing for air, there's nobody there Cause you, yeah you You were talking from the corners of your mouth And you Never whisper never, never ever You yeah you You were talking from the corners of your mouth And you Never whisper "never shout" Never whisper "never shout" Never whisper "never shout"

Over and Out 02:42
How do you sleep When we're as thick as thieves Up to my neck in sheets I'm burning up I'm burning out Where do we run Nothing we do is fun any more I think I'm done I'm over and out 10 - 4 I thought you'd waste me if I ran You thought you had me in the palm of your hand But I wanted you to know I'm not coming home Today, tonight, or tomorrow Would it help you to breathe If I were to pack up and leave Cause the things I've seen Leave me sleeping on the couch This aint working out And your helicopter tongue Always spinning around what's wrong I think I'm done I'm over and out 10-4 I thought you'd waste me if I ran You thought you had me in the palm of your hand But I wanted you to know I'm not coming home Today, tonight, or tomorrow

Even Then 02:17
I felt the rain again Running down my chin Screamed to the world again That I am not afraid So leave me a lone We will never be the same I could see it on your face Even then Crawled to my bed again I think it’s sinking in You had your big scene And exited stage right To get away from the spotlight We will never be the same I could see it on your face All the shame And disgrace You can never take it back I'd never replace it Even then

about

This album is a last chance for some of my early songs to see the light of day. I re-learned them, and in some places re-tooled them. Overall, I enjoyed remembering them, and the years surrounding them. Mostly though, I look forward to not having to remember them as I have for so long, for fear of losing them.
